Summer Reading Kickoff featuring Didgeridoo Down Under

May 30, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Bring the family for pizza at 5:30, and enjoy an interactive show with Didgeridoo Down Under’s William MacGavin at 6:00.

Didgeridoo Down Under is a high-energy, Australia-themed show that combines music, culture, science, comedy, character building and audience participation. The didgeridoo, usually a hollow tree trunk, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years and is known for its otherworldly sound. But DDU is more than music. It’s interactive, educational, motivational and highly entertaining. You’ll learn about Aussie culture, animals and more, all while moving & grooving to the pulsing rhythms of the didge!

William MacGavin is one of the most popular didge performers, crafters and instructors in the U.S.

All ages are welcome. All summer reading events are free, but groups are asked to call ahead.

Summer Reading Family Nights are sponsored in part by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
