The Irondale City Council is looking to fill an expired term on the board of directors of the Irondale Commercial Development Authority (CDA).
The Irondale CDA is comprised of a five member board of directors appointed by the Irondale City Council. Members meet monthly and play an active role in various CDA and City of Irondale commercial and economic development projects and initiatives.
Ideal CDA board candidates should possess the following professional skills: broad business experience, strong communication skills, basic understanding of economic development and flexible time availability. In accordance to Alabama Code Title 11. Counties and Municipal Corporations. § 11-54-172 prospective CDA board members must meet the following basic qualifications:
- Must be a registered voter in the City of Irondale
- No elected official of the state, county or municipality shall, during his tenure be eligible to serve as a director on the CDA
