DESCRIPTION:The Irondale Exchange Club’s annual “One Nation Under God” Veterans Day Breakfast will be THIS Friday\, November 11\, 8:30-10:30 AM\, at The Arbors Apartments Dining Room at St. Martins in the Pines (enter across from Birmingham Fire Station on Montclair Road). The guest speaker will be David W. Coram\, Jr.\, Chaplain of American Legion Post #555. Patriotic music provided by “Horns 4 HIM” ensemble in Living Room. \nThis breakfast is FREE for veterans in the Irondale area. Guests are $5\, children under eight years old\, $3. Ruby holds a BA in Psychology\, a certificate in Gerontology and is a Certified Anger Management Specialist. She has been certified as a Facilitator in the Nurturing Parenting Program. Ruby isåÊthe Community Based Program Manager of the Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center in Birmingham. Exchangites will be interested in learning about the programs they are helping to sponsor\, which emphasize the National Exchange ClubÛªs national project. Ruby will be demonstrating how she promotes baby safety awareness in the community by presenting her program\, ÛÏPreventable TragediesÛ at our September 9thåÊmeeting. We hope you will be sure to attend and support our CAP CenteråÊand the work they are doing for children\, families and the community. \nåÊ \nPlease let us know if you will be attending this special meeting. DESCRIPTION:Help clean-up your neighborhood by participating in the Annual Exchange Club of Irondale’s äóìClean as a Whistleäó campaign which will take place April 15-22\, 2017. æThis is a great opportunity to get rid of that treasured trash and annoying clutter in your home. \nAll Irondale citizens are encouraged to: \nGet those weed eaters\, lawnmowers\, rakes and shrub clippers cranked up! \nClean out the basement and maybe the garage so that it can be used as intended! \nLend a hand to your elderly and handicapped neighbors to clean their property! \nIrondale Public Works will pick-up the following materials if left in front of your home: \n\nBagged grass and leaves\nPaint cans (open and dry\, Fill with dirt)\nAppliances\nFurniture\nBuilding materials (not from contractors)\n\nBatteries\, tires and oil will NOT be collected. æAbandoned vehicles (vehicles with an expired tag that have not been moved within 20 days) may be reported to the City Inspector for removal.æ Call 956-9200 with the address and the location of the vehicle on the property.
