He is no stranger to hard work\, as he was able to grow and then sell this business over a period of three years. Joe continued in his position with the new owners for the next six years to ensure the success of the company. He went on to develop other software companies that were eventually sold to other entrepreneurs as well. \nJoe entered the financial services industry in 2006 for a new challenge. He works with small to medium sized businesses helping them maximize their benefit dollars and offering solutions to better protect the business entity. He also provides unique solutions to address the individual financial planning needs of all employees. \nWhen you meet with Joe\, you will leave feeling well informed and focused.åÊ Joe believes the financial industry should not be about selling product\, but rather about listening to clients to identify potential concerns and then working with the client to develop solutions that can address these concerns. \nJoe is the father of twin boys and twin girls. DESCRIPTION:The Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Antjuan Marsh\, principal of Shades Valley High School\, as our guest speaker.\n\nDr. Marsh accepted the appointment last year to serve as principal of Irondale’s public high school. He has twenty-two years experience as an Alabama teacher\, coach\, assistant principal\, and instructional administrator.\n\n\n\nHe earned both his Bachelors and Masters degree in Education from Troy University.Œæ As a classroom teacher\, he designed a “Writing Across the Curriculum Program” for grades 6-12\, which was instrumental to his research in receiving his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. Marsh was responsible for integrating Advanced Placement and also the credit recovery program into the school’s instructional curriculum at McAdory High School. \nDr. Marsh has been a featured speaker at school assemblies\, colleges\, churches and community events with some of those events in New Zealand\, Hong Kong and Istanbul\, Turkey. In 2014\, Marsh initiated the exploration of an educational partnership between universities in Alabama and institutions located in the Middle East that would assist the training\, equipping and credentialing of educators in the Kurdish Region of Northern Iraq. He has also designed a mentoring program called “Exemplars” which mission is to encourage students to engage their world and maximize their potential. \nIn 2015\, Marsh was awarded Certified Instruction Leader (CIL) by the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS). Marsh now serves on the CIL commission.

She worked in the local government planning and zoning field for 15 years in Birmingham\, New Orleans\, the San Francisco Bay Area\, and the Bluegrass area of Kentucky.\n\nBeth grew up in the Birmingham area and has been Executive Director of the Cahaba River Society since 1995. In addition to leading organizational management and community relations for CRS\, she contributes to the Societyäó»s programs providing policy advocacy\, education\, and collaboration for low impact development\, storm water\, drinking water supplies and efficiency\, and faith-based care of creation.\n\nBeth helped found the Interfaith Environmental Initiative of Alabama\, co-leads the Alabama Urban Stormwater Partnership\, participates in the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) Reform Coalition\, and has served on two state task forces for environmental strategic planning.\n\nPlease click here to register for the event.

Before becoming a public servant\, Amanda says\, she assumed being a 911 operator meant years of training and licensing\, or even a special college degree. In actuality\, 911 operators come from incredibly varied backgrounds. \nIt is her own misconceptions about the 911 operator’s job that give her the desire to build a bridge of understanding between the general public and first responders and to educate the public about the 911 system\, how first responders function\, and how very important easy communication is when a life depends on every minute. \nAt the October luncheon\, Amanda will discuss safety precautions for the home\, your business\, and the community.
