Library Page, Part time (16 to 19 hours per week)
JOB SUMMARY
Shelving books and other materials; maintaining shelved materials in proper order. Also assists patrons with circulation/membership functions and directing patrons to materials. Assists staff with opening/ closing the library; Assists patrons with basic functions of computers. Assists staff as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Ability to alphabetize; learn and shelve by Dewey decimal system; keyboard skills; ability to give attention to detail and ask questions when unsure; good working knowledge of business English, spelling and grammar; ability to understand and follow written and oral directions
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Some work experience preferred.
HOURS
16 to 19 hours per week; one or two night per week until 7 pm (Mon/Tue/Thu); every third Saturday (11am to 3 pm) and Sunday (2 to 5 pm) and occasionally every other weekend or two weekends in a row
