Upcoming voter deadlines and dates for 2020 elections:

MUNICIPAL ELECTION- AUGUST 25, 2020    For Irondale, the polling place for all Irondale voters will be City Hall for this election.
August 10: Last day to register to vote in the upcoming municipal election.
August 20: Last day for a voter to apply for a regular absentee ballot.
August 24: Last day, up to the close of business, for a voter to hand-deliver absentee ballot. If an absentee ballot is returned by mail, it must be postmarked by August 24 and received by noon the day of the election.
August 24: Last day, up to the close of business, for a voter to apply for and submit an emergency absentee ballot if he or she: (1) is required by employer to be unavailable to vote at the polls; (2) is a caregiver of a person who requires emergency treatment within five days of an election; or (3) has a family member to the 2nd degree of kinship who dies within 5 days of the election.

GENERAL ELECTION — NOVEMBER 3, 2020
October 19: Voter registration deadline.
October 29: Last day for voter to make application for an absentee ballot.
November 2: Last day for voter to hand-deliver or postmark an absentee ballot.*

*Except for persons casting absentee ballots pursuant to the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee
Voting Act (UOCAVA voters).
