Summer Reading 2017

There are
two ways for kids and teens to participate in the 2017 Irondale Public Library summer reading challenge. Choose one:

  • Click Here to register online beginning Monday, May 15.
Earn your first badge just for registering, and earn more badges as you track the minutes you spend reading.  Entering your minutes each week will automatically put you in the running for a weekly (kids) or biweekly (teens) prize.

OR

  • Register at the library beginning Monday, May 15.
Track the minutes you spend reading with the paper reading log that you receive at registration. Be sure to bring your reading log back to the library each week for a chance to win that week’s prize!

No matter how you track your reading, here’s how it works:
Use the minutes you spend reading to earn prizes!

  • Every 100 minutes = One entry into the grand prize drawing (See below).
  • 300 points = You’re halfway to your goal! Come to the library for your prize.
  • 600 points = You’ve met your summer reading goal! Come to the library for your prize.
  • 900 points = Bonus challenge! Come to the library for your prize.
  • Plus, come in and add a link to our paper chain for every book you read!

Each week that you track your reading (no matter how much you read), you will be entered to win a weekly (kids) or biweekly (teens) prize. Earn one entry into the grand prize drawing for every 100 minutes you read (up to 14 entries).

  • Grand prize for PK-Kindergarten = Mo Willems prize basket!
  • Grand prize for 1st-5th grades = A new bike!
