This past weekend huge crowds attended the 3rd Annual Irondale “Jazz In The Park” concert held at the newly renovated Beacon Park. The concert which is hosted by Magic City Smooth Jazz, brings well known national and local artist to Irondale in a concert free to the public.
This years concert highlighted national recording artist, Julian Vaughn. The 6’7″ Vaughn, blew the crowd away with his skills on bass and his masterful remakes of classic songs. Talented sixteen year old keyboardist Joshua David, opened the concert. The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame All-Stars also performed several popular songs. The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame Student All-Star Band is a select group of student musicians that range in age from 12 to 19 years of age.
