Did you know that Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve(RMNP) has over 100,000 visitors annually, yet it is supported by only 250 people?
In addition to over 14 miles of hiking trails and some of the best views in Birmingham, RMNP offers regular programs and activities for young and old. Irondale has two convenient trail heads to Ruffner Mountain, one across from Ruffner Park and one across from Palmer Brothers Auto on Ruffner Road. Being able to enjoy such beautiful nature around us takes commitment.
