During a recent Irondale City Council meeting, Irondale Mayor – Tommy Joe Alexander introduced Frank Pennington as the new Director of Irondale Public Works. Mr. Pennington has been a loyal and dedicated employee of the City of Irondale for over 14 years. During his tenure, he’s held various leadership positions including; Assistant Public Works Director, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, Interim Public Works Director and Interim Water Utilities Supervisor.
When asked about future expectations of Irondale Public Works under his direction, Pennington stated, ” I expect and demand that every employee will value the importance of delivering an honest day of quality work to the citizens of Irondale. As public employees we must be exceptional public servants and never accept mediocrity.”
