Irondale City Councilor, David Spivey will host an upcoming public meeting to discuss establishing a new Irondale Historical Society.
The meeting will take place on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 6:30 PM, at the Irondale Public Library.
This meeting is open to anyone interested in brainstorming ideas, sharing stories and identifying ways to actively promote, preserve and educate others about Irondale’s rich history and it’s important contributions to our region, county and state.
We will also explore formal organizational objectives including; establishing a board of directors, creating a vision/mission statement, and identifying initial funding requirements.
Light refreshments will be served and several historical Irondale artifacts and relics will be on display.
