The Irondale Arts Council is sponsoring its very first Student Art Contest – open to students who live in or attend school or church in Irondale. The four grade divisions are K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and the theme is Irondale’s People and Places.
Art applications must be a finished 9×12 piece submitted to the Irondale Public Library (IPL) byWednesday, September 14. Art paper (9×12) is available at the library if you need it.
The top 15 pieces in each grade division will be displayed in the IPL September 19-29. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category by 1 PM at the Whistle Stop Festival, on Saturday, September 24.
First-place winners from each grade division will be recognized at the City Council meeting on October 4.
