An Ohio company is launching a new business that will bring a $1.3 million facility and eight new jobs to Irondale.
Signet Enterprises, headquartered in Akron, is launching Creative Polymer Solutions. The new business will develop and blend polymer technologies for protective and structural coatings for the municipal, industrial and commercial sectors.
Signet is the parent company of Sprayroq, which makes protective lining systems for infrastructure rehabilitation and corrosion management. Sprayroq and CPS will share the new facility.
“As a result of forming CPS and adding engineering, chemistry and manufacturing resources, we will be in a better position to serve our customers’ needs by creating formulations that encounter unique environmental conditions,” Mark Corr, Signet’s president and Chief Operating Officer said in a press release. “We take pride in supporting innovation and new product development throughout the organization. The formation of CPS will greatly enhance our ability to follow through on this strategy.”
The eight new jobs will be in place by the end of the year, and the company has plans for potential future expansions.
In 1995, Sprayroq relocated from Jacksonville, Florida to Irondale.
