The Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce and Irondale CDA recently hosted a special ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of Sams’ Wholesale Club of Irondale. The ribbon cutting was to recognize the expansion of their Irondale facility. This very festive event included performances by the Woodlawn High School – Color Guard and The Shades Valley High School – Show Band.
A number of elected and public officials were also in attendance including; Irondale Mayor – Tommy Joe Alexander, Jefferson County Commissioner- George Bowman, Irondale City Councilors – Craig Sanderson, John London, Terry Bearden and Ms. Senior Irondale – Regina Bearden.
The Irondale Commercial Development Authority presented Sams’ Wholesale of Irondale with their Business of the Month Award. This award was in recognition of their outstanding community service and stellar business leadership over the years.
Sam’s General Manager, Greg Minard also presented several special donations to area organizations, city departments and schools including; the Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce, Irondale Fire Department, Irondale Police Department and Shades Valley High School band.
Irondale Mayor- Tommy Joe Alexander commented, “We are so proud to have Sam’s Wholesale as a long time partner of our city. They exemplify the best of the Irondale business community.”
